Terms and Conditions
Effective date: June 15, 2026
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Overview
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of saturnelectricinc.com (the "Site"), which is operated by Saturn Electric, Inc., a Michigan corporation (referred to in these Terms as "Saturn Electric," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These Terms cover your use of the Site and the basic terms that apply when you contact us, request a quote, or hire us to do electrical work at your home. The actual on-site work is governed by a separate written estimate or service agreement that you and Saturn Electric sign. See Section 4.
1. About Saturn Electric
Saturn Electric is a residential electrical service company based in Rochester, Michigan, serving Oakland County, Macomb County, and the surrounding Southeast Michigan area. We work for homeowners on service calls, repairs, troubleshooting, panel work, rewires, EV charger installations, generators, and similar residential electrical work.
An electrician is required to be licensed under article 7 of the skilled trades regulation act, MCL 339.5701 to 339.5739. Saturn Electric, Inc. is a Michigan-licensed electrical contractor (Michigan Electrical Contractor License No. 6108336). Our Master Electrician License is No. 6210802.
2. Using the Site
You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes: learning about our services, reading our content, requesting a quote, scheduling service, paying an invoice (where available), and contacting our team. You agree not to:
Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms.
Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or modify any part of the Site without our written permission, other than printing or downloading pages for your own personal use.
Use any robot, scraper, or other automated means to access the Site, except for standard search engine indexing.
Interfere with the operation of the Site, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of it, or upload viruses or harmful code.
Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information through any form on the Site.
We may suspend or block access to the Site for anyone who violates these Terms.
3. Site Content
The text, photos, logos, designs, videos, and other content on the Site belong to Saturn Electric or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Saturn Electric name and logo are trademarks of Saturn Electric, Inc. You may not use our name, logo, or content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
We try to keep the Site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee it is complete, up to date, or error-free. Pricing examples, photos of past work, customer reviews, and service descriptions are for illustration only. Actual pricing and scope for your home will be set by a written estimate before any work begins.
4. Requests for Service and Written Estimates
You can request a service call, a quote, or general information through a form on the Site, by calling our dispatch line, by email, or through our chat. Sending a request does not create a contract or commit us to do the work, and we may decline any request for any lawful reason.
Work is performed only after a written estimate. Any electrical work performed by Saturn Electric is governed by a separate written estimate or service agreement that describes the scope of work and the price, and that is signed (electronically or otherwise) or otherwise expressly approved by the customer before work begins. The terms of that signed estimate or service agreement control the work and prevail over any inconsistent statement on the Site, in marketing materials, or in informal communications. If you and Saturn Electric agree to changes in the scope of work after the estimate is signed, those changes will be documented in a change order or revised estimate. To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, these Terms--including the payment, warranty, limitation-of-liability, and dispute-resolution provisions below--are incorporated into and made part of that written estimate or service agreement when you sign or approve it.
5. Pricing and Payment
Pricing for service is set in the written estimate. Unless the estimate says otherwise, the following payment terms apply:
Service call fee. A $79 service call fee covers our trip to your home and the time our technician spends diagnosing the issue. The service call fee is charged for every visit and is separate from any quote we provide for installation or repair work. The fee is earned once our technician arrives at the property and is non-refundable, whether or not you decide to hire us for the work.
Payment due on completion. Saturn Electric does not extend credit or carry financing in-house. Financing for qualifying customers may be available through our third-party financing partner, Synchrony Financial, subject to Synchrony's separate application, approval, and terms. Payment for the work is due in full on the day the work is completed, unless you have been approved for financing through Synchrony or the written estimate states otherwise.
Multi-day jobs. If a job spans more than one day, we may ask for partial payment at the end of each working day in an amount equal to the value of the work completed that day, with the remaining balance due when the job is finished. Any progress-payment expectation will be reflected in the written estimate or discussed and confirmed with you in advance.
Credit card surcharge. A 3% credit card processing fee applies to the portion of any payment above $500 when paid by credit card. The 3% is calculated only on the amount that exceeds the $500 threshold. For example, on a $1,000 credit card payment, the surcharge is 3% of $500, which is $15. There is no surcharge on debit card payments, cash, check, or bank transfer (ACH).
Returned checks. A $40 service charge applies to any check returned by your bank.
Card on file. If you authorize us to keep a credit card on file, you authorize us to charge that card for amounts owed under the signed estimate without further written authorization.
Collection. If we have to take steps to collect an unpaid balance, you agree to reimburse our reasonable collection costs and attorney's fees to the extent permitted by Michigan law.
6. Warranty on Workmanship
We stand behind our workmanship. If something we installed or repaired is not working right because of our workmanship, contact us and we'll make it right. Please describe the issue to us at the email or mailing address in Section 14 and give our team reasonable access to the property so we can take care of it.
The manufacturer's warranty covers the equipment itself (panels, breakers, EV chargers, generators, smart devices, fixtures, and similar items). If a manufacturer-supplied piece of equipment fails, the manufacturer handles the equipment claim under its own warranty. Reinstallation labor is the customer's responsibility unless the failure was caused by our workmanship.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, by alterations or repairs made by anyone other than Saturn Electric after we finish the job, normal wear and tear, power surges, lightning, water damage, fire, pests, or acts of God. It also does not cover materials, fixtures, or equipment supplied by anyone other than Saturn Electric, or issues that come from pre-existing conditions in your home that were not part of the scope of work (for example, underlying wiring or panel conditions that we did not touch). The warranty applies only when the balance for the job has been paid in full.
7. Disclaimer of Implied Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, Saturn Electric disclaims all implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. The workmanship warranty in Section 6 is the only warranty Saturn Electric provides.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, Saturn Electric's total liability arising out of or related to any work performed for you, or to your use of the Site, is limited to the total amount you actually paid to Saturn Electric for the specific job that gave rise to the claim. Saturn Electric is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, loss of use, business interruption, or property damage that is not directly caused by Saturn Electric's negligence. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory of the claim (contract, tort, statute, or otherwise).
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Michigan law.
9. Customer Responsibilities
When you hire Saturn Electric to perform work at your home, you agree that:
You either own the property or have the express permission of all owners and any other parties (such as a land contract vendor) to authorize the work.
You will provide our technicians with reasonable and safe access to the work area at the scheduled time.
You will move or protect personal property in the work area, where reasonable, so our technicians can work safely. We will take reasonable care, but we are not responsible for ordinary wear, minor cosmetic disturbance to drywall or paint that is incidental to the work and disclosed in the estimate, or damage to items left in the work area that should have been moved.
You will inform us of any known hazards in the property (asbestos, lead, mold, structural issues, dangerous pets, and similar issues) before work begins.
Saturn Electric obtains the electrical permits required for the work and schedules any required inspections; you do not need to do this yourself. Any permit fee is included in your written estimate.
10. Cancellation
You may cancel a scheduled job by contacting us by phone or email.
If you cancel before any work has begun, you owe nothing beyond the $79 service call fee for any visit that has already taken place. We do not collect a deposit, so there is nothing to refund.
If you cancel after work has begun, you are responsible for the value of the work performed and the costs we have reasonably incurred through the date of cancellation, including but not limited to labor, materials used or ordered on your behalf, special-order and restocking charges, subcontractor costs, and return-trip time. We will provide a final invoice that reflects these amounts.
Saturn Electric may cancel or stop a scheduled job for any lawful reason, including safety concerns, weather, parts availability, scheduling issues, or customer conduct. If we cancel, we will reschedule where appropriate, and you will owe only for work already performed.
11. Reviews, Comments, and User Content
If you submit a review, testimonial, photo, video, comment, or other content to Saturn Electric (whether through the Site, our social media pages, or another channel), you grant Saturn Electric a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, modify, and distribute that content in our marketing and business operations, with attribution to your first name and city of residence unless you ask us not to. You represent that the content is your own, that it is truthful, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove or decline to publish any content at our discretion.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to websites and services operated by third parties, including manufacturer sites, review platforms, social media, and financing partners. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites. Visiting them is at your own risk and is governed by their own terms.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms, and any work performed by Saturn Electric for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms, the Site, or work performed by Saturn Electric will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, and you and Saturn Electric each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts and waive any objection to venue there. As an alternative, either party may bring a qualifying individual claim in the small-claims division of the district court for Oakland County, Michigan. You and Saturn Electric each waive the right to a trial by jury, and agree that any claim will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative action.

Notices required under these Terms (including warranty claims under Section 6) should be sent by email to the address above and, for warranty claims, also by U.S. mail to our mailing address.
15. Other Terms
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with any written estimate, service agreement, or change order signed or expressly approved by the customer, contain the entire agreement between you and Saturn Electric regarding their subject matter and supersede any prior oral or written communications.
Severability. If any part of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the rest of the Terms will remain in effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Saturn Electric may assign these Terms in connection with a sale of its business, merger, or similar transaction.
Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and, when appropriate, provide a more prominent notice on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Changes to these Terms do not change the terms of any written estimate or service agreement that has already been signed by you and Saturn Electric.
Electronic communications and signatures. You agree that all notices, disclosures, agreements, and other communications we provide to you electronically (including by email or by display on the Site) satisfy any legal requirement that those communications be in writing. You also agree that an electronic signature on an estimate or change order is as legally binding as a signature on paper.
