Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Saturn Electric, Inc. (referred to in this policy as "Saturn Electric," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you visit saturnelectricinc.com (the "Site") or contact us about residential electrical service, what we do with that information, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Saturn Electric is based in Rochester, Michigan and serves homeowners in Oakland County, Macomb County, and the surrounding Southeast Michigan area.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information that helps us answer your questions, schedule work, complete service, and run our business. Specifically:

Information you give us directly. When you fill out a contact form, request a quote, sign up for our newsletter, leave a review, use our live chat, or otherwise reach out, you may give us your name, mailing address, service address, email address, phone number, a description of the work you need, and any other information you choose to share in a message or form field.

Information we collect automatically when you use the Site. This includes your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and similar usage data. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

Information from third parties. If you reach us through a Google Ad, a Google Local Services Ad, a social media post, or a review platform, that platform may pass us limited information, such as how you found us or how you interacted with the ad.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the Site. If we need a payment from you for completed work, payments are processed by a third-party payment processor (see Section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Respond to your inquiries and provide the quotes, scheduling, and service you request.

Communicate with you about scheduled appointments, jobs in progress, invoices, and follow-up.

Send you service reminders, occasional promotional emails, and updates about Saturn Electric. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.

Improve the Site and the way we serve customers.

Run advertising campaigns and measure their performance (see Section 5).

Keep accurate business records for accounting, tax, warranty, and legal purposes.

Comply with applicable laws and respond to legal process.

3. Text Messages (SMS)

If you give us your phone number through a form on the Site, or by providing it directly to a member of our team, you may receive text messages from Saturn Electric or from our dispatch and customer-service software (CertainPath). Messages may include appointment confirmations, technician "on the way" notifications, quote follow-ups, invoice links, service reminders, and occasional promotions.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on the status of your job. You can opt out at any time by contacting us at the email or phone number in Section 11, and we will stop sending you text messages. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service from Saturn Electric. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not share your mobile phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Information you share with us through SMS is treated according to this Privacy Policy.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the situations listed below.

Service providers. We use third-party companies to run our business and the Site, including CertainPath (CRM and dispatch), QuickBooks (accounting), our website hosting and email providers, our payment processor, and similar vendors. They receive only the information they need to do their work for us, and their contracts require them to keep it confidential and use it only on our behalf.

Marketing and analytics partners. Companies such as Google (for Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Local Services Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising) may receive information about your interactions with the Site through cookies and tracking pixels. See Section 5.

Professional advisors. We may share information with our attorneys, accountants, and insurers when reasonably needed for their professional work for Saturn Electric.

Financing partner. We offer financing through a third party, Synchrony Financial. If you choose to apply, you complete the application directly with Synchrony through a link we provide; we do not collect or share your financing application information. Your application is handled by Synchrony under its own privacy policy.

Legal compliance and protection. We may share information when required by law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect Saturn Electric, our employees, our customers, or the public.

Business transfers. If Saturn Electric is involved in a merger, sale of assets, or similar transaction, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice on the Site before any such transfer becomes effective.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the Site, and support our advertising. The main tools we use are:

Google Analytics, which helps us understand how people find and use the Site. Google's privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Ads and Google Local Services Ads conversion tracking, which let us measure how well our ads perform.

Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), which lets us measure ad performance and show relevant content to people who have visited the Site.

You can usually adjust your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Refusing cookies may affect how the Site works for you. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can adjust ad preferences with Google at adssettings.google.com and with Meta inside your Facebook or Instagram account settings.

We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because there is no agreed-upon industry standard for how to interpret them.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. These include HTTPS encryption on the Site and limiting access to employees who need the information for their jobs. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep customer information for as long as needed to provide our services, run our business, support warranty claims, and meet our legal and tax obligations. After that, we either delete the information or keep it in a form that cannot be linked back to you.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You can:

Opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us.

Opt out of marketing text messages by contacting us by phone or email.

Ask us what personal information we have about you.

Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.

Ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal and business record-keeping requirements (for example, we generally cannot delete records connected to a completed job, an open warranty period, an unpaid invoice, or our tax records).

To make any of these requests, contact us using the information in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to other websites, including our social media pages, review platforms, financing partners, and manufacturer websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please read their privacy policies before sharing personal information with them.
